Once we have removed your braces, you will begin the retention stage of your treatment. You will be given a clear top aligner for your teeth and a lower lingual bonded retaining wire. We recommend that you continue wearing your top retainer at least 8 hours a day or night and your lower bonded lingual retaining wire.
Make sure to be very careful when handling your upper retainer as they are fragile and there is a cost to replace. You are given a case to place your retainer in; please make sure to put it in your case when you are not wearing it.
If you choose to discontinue the use of your retainers there maybe undesired changes in the position of your teeth. Your final result depends on your retainers, so follow through with the hard work you’ve put in so far.
